Currently the app will not update info about my car’s charge status, which is a total pain. The only thing the app is good for is turning my car on remotely. Otherwise one star.

I have a 2018 Chevy Volt. This app now shows no useful information regarding the vehicle state of charge. The App also fails to show any information regarding the range available on the vehicle. The climate controls and door locks function still. If this had stopped functioning, I would be screaming much more loudly. Please fix this ASAP!

Worked for like 4 days. Showed all my information on my car, charging, tire pressure, etc. then all of a sudden stopped updating the charging info. Would never refresh. Tried uninstall/reinstall no luck Tried logging out and logging back in. When I log back in, lost everything. Lost map, lost info like tire pressure, charging. Everything. This app is pure garbage.

Best thing ever

I’ve been using this app since I bought my vehicle but with the new update I no longer able to use it on my Apple Watch why is that.

Was working fine, until the app “updated” itself now I can’t turn my WiFi’s data back on. “Connected w|o internet “. The wifi works but connected devices can’t use the data. Onstar can’t help.

I live in an apartment complex. My vehicle is quite a ways away. From my apartment. I love this app to start my vehicle double check to see if it’s locked and what is my gas level

Since this last update, the app can’t tell me the charge of my hybrid vehicle, it just tells me the gas and oil levels. It used to be an okay app, it took a bit but it gave me all the info I needed to know about my car without getting in it, but now it can’t even do that.

I’m not the only one asking about the Apple Watch version. This app also had an Apple Watch companion. Suddenly the Apple Watch app disappeared and to make matters worse the iPhone app doesn’t register the accidental alarms at all.

App has glitches when I add my second slightly older vehicle. Layout and control for 2016 volt is different than 2023 volt app screen. Now my 2023 app screen looks like my 2016.

Love using my phone for my truck!!!

After seeing many negative reviews of the most recent update. The canned responses from GM is unacceptable. If nothing else roll back the update. This my second post on this useless app.

There are a few times where the app isn’t responsive but I know that can happen due to a number of factors considering it uses satellite. So I don’t see it as MyChevrolets issue.

What a beautiful thing this app is in so many ways. Thank You

It takes 2-3 attempts to remote start it always fails. The app is constantly crashing and doesn’t update the vehicle status.

Removed Apple Watch app in the recent update, keypass does not work as well

I give the app on my iPhone five stars, but now on my watch it gets zero stars. When it’s back on my iwatch it gets Five Stars overall.

The new update has removed the tire pressure reading from the app!!

Would you please let us Volt owners know if the issue with no battery information will be fixed or not? If it is can you ballpark when it may be fixed?

This app was doing very well. I’m not sure if there’s an update coming soon but the app has been glitchy.

I have a Mostar account for both of my vehicles and now the app is telling me to purchase an on star account to continue using the MyChevorlet App

Everything works well glad we have it.

I used to love this app until this most recent update. Now I’m unable to do anything other than schedule a service. It will not let me get past that screen any longer. I am very disappointed.

This app is super easy to use. I love that I can start my car with the push of a button and see the diagnostics at the same time

It’s my second Malibu

It seems that my app never wants to load or I have to try multiple times to start my truck. I have even tested the distance at which I had to be to the vehicle. Also, it takes forever for my app to load just to be able to start my vehicle. These easier ways of life are nice, but I can always go back to walking out to my vehicle to start it like we did years ago. Do better.

i wish i could start my car just using my apple watch more consistently. i think they even removed the app off the watch too because i can’t see on there anymore.

The previous version was slow and laggy, but the new version is completely broken—it fails every time I’ve tried it this past week. Also, why does the app take so long to connect to the car? It’s really strange and frustrating, especially in 2025. Equinox EV

Useless. Can’t turn on vents. Can’t locate vehicle. Can’t roll down windows. Now way worth the money.

The new version removes the ability to toggle between 8 and 12 amp charging on 120 volt connections. This is incredibly inconvenient and makes a barely ok app much worse.

It can be very slow and glitchy sometimes

I have a 2018 Chevrolet volt. I also have a 2023 Ford F150 lightning EV. I’ll start by saying that the Chevrolet software and info entertainment center in car is fantastic, but the my Chevrolet app is pathetic. Ford calls their app FordPass. It is 100% free and does everything you could want and does it quickly. The main thing I want to do with the Chevrolet app is to be able to check the charge status of the vehicle. I talked to four different people today at OnStar regarding this, and from what I understand, you have to pay at least $24.99 per month if you want this function. That’s $300 a year for a simple function that Ford provides for free - with many others include included also free. In my opinion, the free version should give you at least this, and a few other things such as unlocking the doors, starting the vehicle, and perhaps tire air pressure. But as far as I can tell you want it -you gotta pay. And I won’t. But I will certainly remember This when it comes time to replace this car.

I updated on 4-9-25 and this VERSION REFUSES TO OPEN on my iPhone running the current IOS. ………………. EDIT…………….. Never had to reboot my iPhone in the past to get this to work but rebooting did the trick

The app to unlock and start truck only works half the time

I’ve used this app for years now, and the developers seem to be more interested in redesigning the look and feel of the app than in providing useful features. In the latest update (Mar 25), I have lost the ability to remotely check how much charge I have, but they’ve sure made certain the oil life is front and center. Who needs a prominent remote reading of oil life? It declines slowly over time and you have months to prepare for an oil change. I’d sure like to know how close I am to charged, though, when deciding when to leave work. If you want to add value, stop moving things around and renaming them (is it Start, Precondition, or Climate?) and add features like being able to control the climate settings when we do remotely start/precondition/climate our cars.

What happened to the apple watch widget. I used it all the time. Very disappointing.

App doesn’t always send the signal. I don’t if it is the car or the app

I love this app because it’s easy to maneuver through it and good information in case you need to know about your car. 💜

Recent ‘update’ was a serious downgrade. Have used this app and it’s predecessors since 2011 on 2 Volts. Not happy with this newest version.

No longer able to start or lock/unlock my Bolt over Bluetooth. The battery and charging information is also gone.

Love my car and all its features

So convenient when it’s cold outside to warm your vehicle up! So convenient when it’s hot outside to cool your vehicle down! So convenient if you forget to lock your doors! And most important so convenient to unlock your doors when you don’t have your keys with you and you need to get in your vehicle.

Would be great if the app had the ability to set remote start to certain times and days of the week like ford does.

On cold morning I can start my car while I’m getting dressed for work, and it’s be so nice and warm. I love it!! Thanks General Motors!!
